Domain names are registered for intervals of one year or more. You can register a domain name for 1 year, 2 years, or more. As long as your domain name is registered to you, no one else can use it. You always have the opportunity to renew your domain name registration before it expires.

To register domain names, you do the following:

1. Find a company to register your domain name. You can register domain names anywhere. We offer domain registration for $9.95 per year at BummerDomains.com. If you host your domain with us and pay annually, you'll save 10% on web hosting plus we'll register your domain name for free!
   
   
2. Generally, you'll be required to set up a domain account before registering a domain name. The account registration is free and this is where you manage the domain names you register.
   
   
3. Once your domain account has been set up, you need to login and find an available domain name to register. You can look for domain names here to find what is available and then register it for $9.95 per year. An available domain name can be hard to find. Hint: If you can't find MySite.com, try looking for My-Site.com, MySite.net, or My-Site.net.
