First, check to be sure your webhosting plan offers control panel access. If you are having trouble logging into your Control Panel, please check the following before contacting Tech Support...
1. Check your link to make sure you are logging into the right place. You should be going to the the Client Login Area and clicking on the link that says Website Control Panel.
PLEASE BE AWARE, NOT all webhosting plans have access to the Control Panel. In addition, you HAVE TO REQUEST to be setup with the Control Panel if this is allowed on the hosting plan you are on. To request access to your Control Panel, you must submit a Tech Support Ticket.
2. Check your email, password and domain name. Upon initial setup, the email used for your control panel is the same as the email to login to your tech support. Be aware, changing your email address in tech support will NOT change the email address to login to your Website Control Panel. If you are unsure of your login details, check your past tech support tickets under "My Tickets". If you cannot locate the details, submit a tech support ticket
You will have a unique user/pass for each specific service with us. Be sure you are entering the email address, password and domain name correctly for the Website Control Panel. The login info is cAsE sensitive. If you cannot find your linking information, login to Tech Support and find it under your past tickets "My Tickets".
3. Make sure you do not have a Firewall blocking your access to the Control Panel. You will need to configure your firewall to allow your computer access to bummer-inc.com and "https", which means secure. All firewalls are different, so please refer to your specific firewall software support for directions. If you want to test to see if your firewall is the blocking, you can disable your firewall, temporarily, and try logging in then. If you are able to access the Website Control Panel at that time, then you will know you will need to configure your firewall to allow access to your control panel.
4.Upon your initial login to your Website Control Panel, you will be asked to verify the SSL (Security Certificate) in order to allow access. You will need to accept and allow the Self-signed certificate in order to access the Website Control Panel. You will only need to do this one time. The Website Control panel has a Self-signed certificate. Your login info is encrypted for your protection.
5.For those using Windows XP w/SP2. - Microsoft has installed a firewall on the Service Pack 2 update and most people do not know about this. To configure the Windows Firewall, go to Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Security Center. Click on the Windows Firewall link and congiure it. If problems persist, disable it.
