How do I install DRM to protect my audio and video files?
To install DRM to your audio and video files, you must have Windows Media Encoder installed on your computer.
Please Note: - 3rd party encoders will not install DRM. The Windows Media Encoder is used to install DRM into your streaming media files. WM Encoder does not change the file size, quality, or the way the videos play.
Step 1 - Open your Windows Media Encoder.
Step 2 - At the top, click on the button "Properties".
Step 3 - Click the tab called "Security".
Step 4 - Check the box called "Use DRM to protect content from unauthorized use".
Step 5 - Click "Import".
Step 6 - Find the location of the DRM key we sent you that is saved on your computer.
Step 7 - Once you have found the DRM key, highlight it and click the button "Open".
Step 8 - Enter the password we send you which goes with the DRM key.
Step 9 - Click the "Apply" button.
Step 10 - Close or " X " out of Windows Media Encoder. When you do so, a box pop up that says "Your settings have changed. Do you want to save the new settings". Click "Yes" and the save it.
Your Window Media Encoder is now setup with the DRM! You now encode the audio and video files just like you always do. The DRM will automatically be installed in to your streaming media files.
