If you are transferring a domain, TO or FROM BummerDomains.com, you will need to do the following:

* Obtain the EPP Key or Authorization Code
* Unlock your Domain name with your current domain registrar

To Transfer a domain name TO BummerDomains.com, follow the steps below...

1.) Login to your current domain registrar and unlock the domain name you wish to transfer to BummerDomains.com. If you do not unlock your domain name, the transfer process will fail.

2.) You should see an EPP KEY or Authorization code with your domain name. You will need this! You should be able to have this Key/code sent to you. If you do not see the EPP Key/Auth Code, you will need to contact your current Domain registrar to obtain the information. This EPP KEY, sometimes known as an Authorization code, is required in order to transfer a domain name. Domain registrar's are Required to supply you with a unique EPP Key /Auth Code in order to transfer your domain. If your domain registrar refuses to do so, contact ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).

3.) Once you unlock your domain name, and obtain your EPP Key/Auth Code, then you are ready to login to your BummerDomains.com account to initiate the transfer process. If you do not have an account with BummerDomains.com, you can sign up for an account for free.

FYI, domain registration requires the use of an isp email or domain email address upon sign up. Free email accounts, such as hotmail and yahoo or not allowed to be used on signup.

Once you are logged into your BummerDomains.com account:

1a.) On the top Menu, look for "TRANSFER DOMAIN", click there.

2a.) Enter in the exact domain name(s) you wish to transfer to your BummerDomains.com account, and
click "submit".

Please read the information on that page. Be sure your domain has not expired OR is not less than 60 days old. Only domains over 60 days old can be transfered. 3a.) Enter in the EPP Key / Authorization Code when prompted. You will not be able to transfer a domain name without this information. Be sure you have UNLOCKED your domain with the current registrar before attempting to transfer the domain name.

4a.) Follow the instructions to checkout.

If you are transferring your domain AWAY from BummerDomains, read the following:

To Transfer a domain name AWAY from BummerDomains.com TO a NEW domain registrar, obtain your EPP Key / Auth Code and Unlock your domain with BummerDomains.com, then get further instruction at your NEW domain registrar. Once you obtain the EPP Key/Auth Code and Unlock your domain with BummerDomains.com, the transfer process will be initiated from your NEW domain registrar. There is nothing left to do in BummerDomains. The rest is up to you and your NEW Domain registrar to complete the transfer process.
