First, check to be sure your webhosting plan offers control panel access. If you are having trouble logging into your Control Panel, please check the following before contacting Tech Support...
1. Check your link to make sure you are logging into the right place. You should be going to the Client Area Login page, and accessing the link, called "Website Control Panel". PLEASE BE AWARE, NOT all webhosting plans have access to the Control Panel. In addition, you HAVE TO REQUEST to be setup with the Control Panel if this is allowed on the hosting plan you are on. To request access to your Control Panel, you must submit a Tech Support Ticket.
2. Check your username and password. You can find the username and password to your Website Control Panel, in your initial Tech Support Ticket email.
You will have a unique username and password for each specific service with us. Be sure you are entering your username and password correctly for the Website Control Panel. Your user/pw are cAsE sensitive. The username to your Control panel should be your domain name. Please refer to your Welcome Tech Support email for verification. If you cannot find your linking information, login to Tech Support and find it under your past tickets "my tickets".
3. Make sure you do not have a Firewall blocking your access to the Control Panel. You will need to configure your firewall to allow your computer access to bummer-inc.com and "https", which means secure. All firewalls are different, so please refer to your specific firewall software support for directions. If you want to test to see if your firewall is the blocking, you can disable your firewall, temporarily, and try logging in then. If you are able to access the Website Control Panel at that time, then you will know you will need to configure your firewall to allow access to your control panel.
For those using Windows XP w/SP2. - Microsoft has installed a firewall on the Service Pack 2 update and most people do not know about this. To configure the Windows Firewall, go to Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Security Center. Click on the Windows Firewall link and congiure it. If problems persist, disable it.
