The video won't play! What am I doing wrong?

If you are having trouble playing video or audio clips, please check the following...

1. Check your firewall settings.

Our dedicated video streaming servers must be able to send the streaming video to your computer during a webcast. In other words, our streaming media servers must be able to talk to your computer. If you are not able to receive any video or audio streams, please make sure your firewall(s) are configured properly or disable them.

2. Upgrade to latest Windows Media Player.

We use the most advanced equipment and streaming software for the highest quality streaming media hosting you can find. Get the best picture streaming from our webcast hosting by using the latest Windows Media Player. Many times a streaming problem can be fixed by upgrading to Windows Media Player. It's easy to upgrade, easy to use, and free!

Even if your old Windows media player works, upgrading will give you even a better streaming picture! Plus, you'll have the most versatile and latest media player for listening to audio streaming or viewing streaming videos!

3. Check for the latest browser upgrades and support.

Most internet browsers will get partially corrupted over time. As a result, they may work fine on most sites but not work on others. There may also be other browser functions that won't work either. As time goes, all internet browsers will slowly get worse. It's at this time, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest browser. Once you do, you'll find that surfing the internet will be faster. You may also find that you have a lot more surfing options than you did before!

Use the newest internet browsers for Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox or Opera! We highly recommend that you upgrade to the latest browser version available. You can download the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox or Netscape:

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Netscape Communicator

Mozilla

Mozilla Firefox

4. Check your download speed...

Yes, we know... your ISP says that you get 56k download for your computer dialup connection! We hate to tell you, that's not true. By law, you can not get a 56k download speed over your phone lines!

Dialup can get something like 51k - and that's assuming that everything is working perfectly. Most people will only get between 28k - 40k for a good dial-up download speed.

Things that will slow down your dial-up modem speeds are:

# Old phone wires - most older houses have bad wiring past once past the phone box outside.
# Improperly configured computers - your computer's software and/or software isn't configured properly. Maybe you have an older computer with lots of programs or antivirus running in the background.
# Bad phone lines - your phone company may not have good lines running up to your house. Yes, this does happen and it's the hardest to get fixed.
# Download Speed Tests - run your download speed tests for both dialup and broadband connections here. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Are you getting what your ISP says it's giving you? Check and see, you may be surprised!

5. Check your computer resources...

If everything above is okay, then the problem resides with your computer's inability to decode the compressed streaming media. 99% of the computers should not have any problems at all, no matter how old they are. If your computer is having problems, they could be due to:

# Corrupted software - Some software (your OS or Windows Media Player) is corrupted on your computer.
# Low computer resources - there are too many programs running on your computer. If this is the case, your computer doesn't have enough processor to run your programs and decode the streaming media at the same time.
# Computer gremlins - Ok! Who knows what happened! Maybe all you need is to retart or reboot your computer!
